I worked at Time Inc. and co-founded a newspaper with Dow Jones and Company. In 1995 I co-founded Salon.com. By now, business is more powerful than government, so I believe that if we are to make it to the next millennium, we'd better reform business quickly. That's one reason I co-authored Money for Nothing. In the course of writing this book, I've found a large number of deeply earnest people trying to make business accountable and responsible for what it does. It may surprise some to know that the companies that do this are more profitable than those that do not. I live in Piedmont, California and have a wonderful son.
