Meet Darren Pleasance: author, keynote speaker, and business luminary who has shaped the success of some of the world’s most iconic companies. With a wealth of experience and a passion for inspiring others to lead fulfilling lives, Darren is becoming a sought-after voice on national stages. In his book and related keynotes, Darren explores what it means to find personal fulfillment, breaking free from others’ expectations, and how to know when we have “enough.” Business leaders, students and parents, and individuals looking to change their life will benefit from Darren’s transformative advice to enact positive change. His journey through the peaks of corporate success, coupled with personal experiences, have cultivated insights to inspire others to embark on their own extraordinary paths. Darren currently leads Cisco’s Acceleration Center, which drives business transformation and cross-functional initiatives. His career also includes a groundbreaking era at Google, where Darren was the lead of Global Customer Acquisitions, as well as serving as a Partner in McKinsey & Co.’s High-Tech Sector and Marketing & Sales Practice. In addition to his corporate professional experience, Darren has a deep passion for flying and aviation. He has flown more than 50 types of planes, including working as a corporate jet pilot flying for celebrity and high-profile clients around the globe. His aviation passion and experience includes time as an aerobatic competitor, Alaska bush pilot, vintage warbird pilot, and flight instructor. Darren holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management. As a passionate aviator, he also contributes his insights as a board member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). Darren currently lives in Bend, OR, a quaint ski town in Central Oregon. He and his wife, Lisa, elected to move to Bend in 2006 to embrace the zest for adventure that they both craved, while also creating a great environment for raising both of their kids. Lisa is a passionate equestrian and owns a horse training farm for competitive jumping. Darren’s son, Chris, is an active outdoorsman who enjoys traveling across the western U.S. Daughter Lauren is a college student studying veterinary medicine. Darren has been able to preserve his love of flying by utilizing his plane to travel regularly from Bend down to his company’s headquarters in the California Bay Area.
