Darin Ingels, ND, FAAEM is a licensed naturopathic doctor and fellow with the American Academy of Environmental Medicine. He has more than 26 years experience as a clinical microbiologist and practicing clinician, working with patients with Lyme disease, autism and other immune disorders. Dr. Ingels was born in Bloomington, Indiana, but grew up mostly in Southern California, where he currently resides. While living in Connecticut, he contracted Lyme disease shortly before opening his private practice in 2002 and spent 3 years getting his health back. His experience as a Lyme patient has helped him develop a unique perspective on Lyme disease that he has shared with the thousands of Lyme patients in his practice. Dr. Ingels' new book The Lyme Solution: A 5-Part Plan to Fight the Inflammatory Autoimmune Response and Beat Lyme Disease is a step by step treatment guide designed to help people with Lyme disease overcome their illness naturally. Dr. Ingels also lectures nationally and internationally on Lyme disease and autism and is a regular contributor to multiple online publications. He also maintains private practices in California and Connecticut. In his spare time, he enjoys playing drums and studying martial arts, where he holds a black belt in Oyama karate.
