Charles/Paresh is a certified yoga teacher who began teaching in 1990. He is a former resident of Esalen Institute and Kripalu Yoga Ashram, and a founding member of the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association. He also studied at Spirit Rock, White Lotus Foundation and with Kali Ray. He has several audio recordings that were featured in Yoga Journal. He was a member of the teacher training faculty at Yoga Center of Carmel, California as well as teaching at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula. Paresh has been a hospice volunteer since 1992. He is the author of Dharma: 40 Essays On Yoga, Top 10 Tips For Yoga Teachers, and several collections of poetry. His poetry has appeared in publications including The Anthology of Monterey Bay Poets, Inspired By Tagore, Star*Line Magazine, and on NPR radio. Charles is a musician and songwriter, a graduate of Musician's Institute of Technology in Hollywood. He formerly played with City Celebration in San Francisco. He lives in Lacey, Washington.
