Carol E. Anderson is a life coach and former organizational consultant whose passions are women’s empowerment and travel photography. She holds a doctorate in spiritual studies, and master's degrees in psychology, organizational development, and creative nonfiction. Anderson is the author of the essay “What is it About Memoir?” published in The Magic of Memoir: Inspiration for the Writing Journey, and coauthor of “Deeper Power,” published in Enlightened Power: How Women are Transforming the Practice of Leadership. Her essays have been published in The Huffington Post, Pop Sugar, The Advocate, Curve Magazine and Living Better. Her 2017 debut memoir, You Can't Buy Love Like That, was an Awards Finalist in the Best Book Awards, the Next Generation Indie Awards, the International Book Awards and the May Sarton Book Awards. Her memoir also received the 2017 Sponsor's Choice Prize in the LGBTQ category given by the National Indie Excellence Awards, and second place in the Memoir category of the 2017 Reader Views Literary Awards. Carol lives with the love of her life and their sassy pup in a nature sanctuary in Ann Arbor, MI.
