Captain Joe Kent is a Merchant Mariner Master of a 90’ towboat named the M/V Ron Hull. When he is on land, he makes his home in Louisiana with his wife, Denise and four dogs, Bugsy Joe, Cammie Jo, Tori Jo, and Mia. He is a prolific songwriter and storyteller with hundreds of copyrighted works. He is the published author of two books, TOWBOAT JOE and FINANCIAL FITNESS. Captain Joe is the narrator for the History Channel series Mississippi Men. He wrote, performed, and produced the theme song for the show and has a minor role in it. You can find Captain Joe underway and makin’ waves through the rivers and bayous of the Heartland, from Panama City, Florida to Brownsville, Texas and from Venice, Louisiana to St. Paul, Minnesota. He will always have a recently penned song to play and a current story to tell you.
