Born in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, Amanda grew up in a tiny town in the Upper Peninsula called DeTour Village. She is proud to be a fourth generation Bailey from Drummond Island. Amanda attended school in Rudyard Michigan and is a gold medal swimmer and diver in Special Olympics. Her favorite things are going to movies, and out to lunch, and out to dinner, and okay, out to breakfast too, but not too early... and hanging out with her friends and family members. In 2013, Amanda became an official "snowbird", spending winters in Arizona and summers at home on Drummond. She has been an avid writer for many years. THE NORTH SIDE OF DOWN is her first book.
