The cover of this book would lead you to believe that this is hot and sexy novel when, in actuality, it's not so much. I'm used to "Lori Foster" books having a little more "umph" to them, and this book almost seemed like cotton candy fluff by comparison. The lead female character was so coy and easily embarrassed that you wondered what it was about her that so appealed to the male lead. As a whole, the book reminded me more of the candy-coated Harlequin Romances of the 80's. But I happen to be a sucker for gooey romance mixed with humor and a happy ending, so I still gave it three stars.
The narrator, however, is a different story. Don't these people have to audition for someone before they are chosen for these types of books? This person seemed better suited to narrate children's books than adult contemporary romance. Her cheesy portrayal of the male characters came close to making me quit listening altogether. If good narration makes the book for you, I'd have to say just skip this one.
