Helen Stern
Lenore Lester was perfectly content with her quiet country life, caring for her father, and having no desire for marriage. She took steps to remain inconspicuous and tried her best to show indifference - but to no avail! The irresistible Duke of Eversleigh had found her out and was quite persistent in his affections....
The Shy Miss!
Notoriously charming Jason, Duke of Eversleigh, could easily see behind Miss Lenore's brilliant disguise. Though the awkward lady hid behind glasses and pulled-back hair, she couldn't cover her beauty. And Jason was ever determined to loosen the hold she had on her heart.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I do not recommend. This book was so slow. It bored me to death. I didn't finish it.The reader was awful. A slow, overly detailed book and a dull reader make for torture. So sorry but I hated this one.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Author spent way too much time in the characters heads. Conversations between them seemed rather foolish.Would you be willing to try another one of Helen Stern’s performances?
No!Although she has a lovely reading voice she is not at all skilled in characterizations.
Do you think The Reasons for Marriage needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Oh, please, I couldn't get thru this one. I was a fan of Stephanie Laurens a long time ago. I find her books very boring now.Any additional comments?

If you could sum up The Reasons for Marriage in three words, what would they be?
Satisfyingly matched characters. What was one of the most memorable moments of The Reasons for Marriage?
The scene when Max first meets all the sisters for the first time. What about Helen Stern’s performance did you like?
Her choice of voices for the characters was excellent. Both her male and female characters were pleasant to listen to, had unique and recognizable voices, and in particular the male voices were entirely pleasant. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, if the time allowed.Any additional comments?
This is one of the best readers I have encountered. Please have her continue to do readings.A wonderfully entertaining and satisfying reading.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
It didn't sound like a bad story line, but I didn't listen to it for very long. The low voice of non-animated woman's voice was too frustrating, and it was hard to tell which character was speaking.Painfully bland
