Timely story based on the current zeitgeist.

Good writing. Voice actors were great, especially Sanaa Lathan who really elevated the work. Also, some great twists at the end.

FAST-PACED LEGAL DRAMA

Review by Michael Howard

I thoroughly enjoyed this short, action-packed story, by James Patterson. It reminded me a little of his Alex Cross series, with all the unexpected twists and turns.

Sanaa Lathan gave an outstanding audio performance, as did the other voice actors!! They all made you feel you were right there with them!

You don't have to be politician, lawyer, or judge, to follow the plot and ponder the very serious ethical questions that arise, but it will help if you do have an interest in them, because it will keep you engaged, throughout the entire story.

Political mystery thriller

The theme was right up my alley. My only dislike was the amount of bad language.

I never saw the end coming.

I liked how I was kept in suspense, and wasn't able to figure out the book from the beginning plot twist was worth it.

Short and Fast moving

Actually loved the storyline and the characters. It was a bit tough to follow switching of scenes and characters which is why I didn’t give it 5/5. I suggest that with other stories, there be some type of other way to indicate what’s going on. There’s only so much you can do with background noises. Some type of intro, like a place or time would have helped listeners follow. For example, I struggled identifying when Maggie was in her car driving to her mom’s and figuring out it was she who was speaking.
Thought Sanaa Lathan was amazing.
