Story
Aeron had every opportunity to explain the horses that were haunting my drawings. I asked him several times about his crazy zombie-killing horse. He omitted to tell me he was the Horseman of Death until Leif let it slip he was the Horseman of Pestilence when he introduced himself to me. I don’t know who I’m madder at—Aeron for lying to me or me for just ignoring all the clues and telling myself there was no way it was possible and trusting him.

Story
When a 1950s rural Mexican family of nine is forced to resettle in an urban American metropolis, its cultural clash is hopeful, exhausting, and thorny. You will meet Ramiro, a strong-willed, self-reliant, deeply passionate man who is at times a dreamer, sometimes defiant, sometimes tyrannical, but always in control of the ship that carries his lovely wife, Eliza, and their seven children. Ramiro’s hopes and dreams are modest and realistic, yet, as the title suggests, the book shows that a man’s best plans can often go astray.

There is no bigger public health story now than the collapse in youth mental health. The numbers are terrifying and dominate our headlines. There has been much debate over how we got here, and what to do next, and bestselling author and social psychologist Jonathan Haidt is at the white-hot center of that discourse. Haidt has spent his career speaking wisdom and truth into the most difficult landscapes—communities polarized by politics and religion, campuses battling culture wars, and now the perfect storm contributing to a public health emergency for Gen Z.

Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.
