From an Afro Latina who needed a happy story to listen to , obrigada

Omg where has this author been all my life?! I saw the cover and the Puerto Rican flag in the back and thought oh ok finally a story about Latinos ! Then when I realized the main character was Afro Latina I was hooked . I felt so seen ! Cute story and the acknowledgments inspired me to keep going with my podcast . I’m buying all her books .

Everything I needed

This.,.. This... is what i call a marvelous read. It gave me laughs, on edge, tears, joy and PASSION!! This story was amazingly written and amazingly told. It gave me a spark within myself as i read it and a nice spark to my RL relationship. I could listen to this time an time again.

I love this author

Mia Sosa has a way of weaving a tale into something powerful. There’s always a hidden lesson. She touches on “real” obstacles that characters need to jump over. I loved this book.

Vulnerability of the characters was so real!!

I really enjoyed listening to this book. What the author set out to do was done. I loved and hated some of the characters as if I knew them. And felt like I was Vanessa as the story progressed. I laughed so much. It was a well thought out story and I enjoyed it!!

LIKE OMG

Best Audible in a little while!!! I was into the story from the beginning!!! sure it's the typical romcom template but the characters, the will they won't they dynamics and finally the very 🔥 switch in the story held me with excitement to return to the story! I was late to work because I stayed in the car longer than I should have listening to this book.

Best book I’ve listened to in a while!

This book was charming and funny. I actually laughed out loud. It wasn’t as expected as you’d think and the characters were very lovable. I’d highly recommend this book.

Fun and Sweet

I was afraid to read this because the premise did not seem like it could lead to a happy ending for anyone. I wont spoil anything, but I will say this book went in a different direction than I expected. It was a fun read and I’m planning to explore more novels by Mia Sosa. I was happy with the way this book went and I thought the dialogue between the characters was really well written. I also love how the author incorporated Spanish language into the novel, but not in a way that would inhibit the reader if they didn’t speak Spanish. The voice actors were great as well. Their performance and the writing made me fall in love with all the characters.

Funny story

It was funny story to listen. And it was cute and romantic. I quite enjoyed listening to it and would recommend it to others also.

Great love story with a twist!

I loved the narrators!! Excellent job👏🏾👏🏾 I love when a book can make me laugh out loud or talk back to the characters!😂 This was great! This was my first read my this author but now I will be looking for more.

Unexpected but Expected

I enjoyed this book from the onset. The dynamic of the characters was well written/performed. The heat near end was unexpected but greatly appreciated.
