Publisher's summary

This collected edition of the Antarktos Saga includes all five books in the series - Descent, Pursuit, Ascent, Lament, and Onslaught. More than 35 hours of pulse-pounding audio written by the New York Times and number one Audible best-selling author Jeremy Robinson and narrated by the best-selling and award-winning narrator R.C. Bray.

Description:

I’ve been told that the entire continent of Antarctica groaned at the moment of my birth. The howl tore across glaciers, over mountains, and deep into the ice. Everyone says so. Except for my father; all he heard was Mother's sobs. Not of pain, but of joy, so he says. Other than that, the only verifiable fact about the day I was born is that an iceberg the size of Los Angeles broke free from the ice shelf, a few miles off the coast. Again, some would have me believe the fracture took place as I entered the world. But all that really matters, according to my parents, is that I, Solomon Ull Vincent, the first child born on Antarctica - the first and only Antarctican - was born on September 2, 1974.

If only someone could have warned me that upon my return to the continent of my birth, 13 years later, I would be kidnapped, subjected to tortures beyond comprehension, and forced to fight...and kill. If only someone had hinted that I'd wind up struggling to survive in a subterranean world full of ancient warriors, strange creatures, and supernatural powers.

Had I been warned, I might have lived a normal life. The human race might have remained safe. And the fate of the world might not rest on my shoulders. Had I been warned....

This is my story - the tale of Solomon Ull Vincent - the last hunter.

This deserves to be a series of movies!

I am so happy that I finally have the Collected Edition. I have loved all of the books within for years. Jeremy Robinson is an amazing author and even though these books are labeled YA for young adult, count my 40- something bum in as a giant fan. I have always loved stories that could be possible, and here we are confronted with the possibility that the ice in the Antarctic melts and reveals that there is a whole ecosystem that has survived for millennia. Not only that, but the young hero of the story finds himself there and of course in trouble. Lots of trouble. Add to that a dash of legendary beings that should not exist, and as the book title says...The Last Hunter... has his hands full.

RC Bray happens to be one of my favorite readers, and hey, will you look at that...an amazing reader reading a book that is full of shock and awe and adventure and I can guarantee a good time!

You will lose sleep

Narration is great and you will definitely lose some sleep because it is definitely hard to stop listening. It was a little repetitive in a few areas because it is the whole series but it is definitely worth the time to hear some actions again.

Excellent story with an intriguing premise!

Modern Fantasy collides with an Apocalyptic take on Ancient History... seasoned with a dash of 80's nostalgia. You just have to read/listen to it to appreciate it! Also, be sure to read/listen to Antarktos Rising after Book 2 of this series... Books 3-5 will make MUCH more sense if you do.

The Last Hunter: EXCEPTIONAL IN EVERY WAY!

I just finished listening to The Last Hunter Collection.
It is probably the best audio book at Audible. I am going to listen to it again right after my review.
The story line is great and the performance by R C Bray was outstanding.
If you are still reading this you probably need an audiobook so just click to get it now.

The Last Hunter series is “Dennis Approved” and this is the first time I have said that in a review.

Clean and enjoyable!

Finally, a nice long book to enjoy without foul language or x-rated scenes. The storyline was unique and full of adventure and the character development was solid. This was a fun book that families could enjoy together.

its good

its not worth the credit if you didn't get the full set. Most of the books are super short, and don't have an ending.
The full set is good though. it's definitely written for a younger person.

Worth the listen - don’t judge a book by its cover

I never listened to this because I thought the cover looked too cheesy. Seemed like a smut novel my aunt would read. But after so many folks in the JR Facebook group noting it was one of their faves, I decided to listen. It wasn’t smut at all. I enjoyed the story line. If you’re doing the collected edition, stop and check out at what point you should listen/read Antarkos Rising. It’s not part of this series, but explains how some things happened. I didn’t realize I should have done that one part way through - so they kept mentioning past stuff like I should know it. Turns out, it was in Antarkos Rising. Love Bray & JR.
