Kaz being a whinny little crybaby

Decent enough story I’m just getting sick of how stuck up and full of himself kaz is he loves the money and all the help from Certis but treats all his team except Duke like garbage always complaining and whining about not getting what he wants I’m sick of it. I was hoping Craig would turn it around from the previous books and make him a better person. But no. He literally acts like Theo but then when they ask he is like nooo my dog would never allow that boohoo poor me. And they just believe him. It’s so dumb and unbelievable. And the wizard in Duke is obviously a god just get to the point and tell us what the point of it is. Quite beating around the bush

It was great, I enjoyed every minute of it. It was very funny and also some thrilling plots. It is better than the last one.

Duke is the best character!!

Duke makes the story...if he wasn't in the 1st one I never would have listened to the rest of them.

Duke better than Skippy?

You have got to get the next book out. I've decided that Duke may well be even better then Skippy. Don't tell him that.

Are the chapters out of order?

Chapter 20 specifically seems like it’s in the wrong spot it definitely should be way earlier in the book. That’s super annoying especially when this book was delayed two weeks. Also I still don’t understand why they googled the history of Merlin because a bad guy says a similar name and They google the entire historical era of the knights era AND They google the worst year in history, BUT nobody tried to google Babylon and a “wizard” named Marduk? Just typing in the word in they’d know he’s a god IMMEDIATELY. That’s super annoying.

The story was great, albeit it felt a bit rushed or thrown together at times. like Craig has a cool idea for a side quest and instead of slotting it in naturally or dropping it, tosses a dart at the timeline to drop it in.

Narration was top notch as always, but there was awkwardly mixed sections where either it was a different recording studio, different mic, different something that was jarring at times and pulls you out just a bit.

overall the gang is fun, the humor is charming, duke is the best boy, and this book finally pushes the stakes to where they need to be and avoids the tropes you expect from any story with a doggo.

I hate these cliffhangers. I have a year to wait?

This is a really entertaining series. there is suspense, humor and excitement. We don't need a cliffhanger . The characters are all described so well I really get to know them. The stories are always so exciting I can't stop listening. The narration is done so perfectly I can't imagine anyone else doing it.

Too much food

RC's performance great as always... but I have noticed that increasingly Alanson's books are focusing more on what the characters are eating vs. what they are doing. If all the food descriptions and comments were removed, I think the book length would be cut in half. This is not how his earlier books were constructed.

Warming nether regions and showing those lower cases g's whose boss

Another solid book from Craig with the best narrator in the business! Can't wait for the next book... although I can wait if RC needs me too... seriously. Will a new g in an old body come back for the next book.. maybe as an Egyptian mummy god...you never know till you know.
