  • Ep. 541 - Hotel Chelsea
    Jun 6 2024

The Hotel Chelsea refers to itself as "A Rest Stop for Rare Individuals" and indeed, it has hosted some famous creatives. Today it is a luxury hotel, but when it began, this was one of the first forays into attracting the upper class to rent apartments in New York City. The interior was grand and the upper floors were specifically designed to attract artists. The hotel has stood for nearly 150 years and has not only provided housing for some unique people, but it hosts many spirits. These include punk rocker Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen. Join us for the history and hauntings of the Hotel Chelsea! The Moment in Oddity features skeletons under a St. Augustine winery and This Month in History features The Gaspee Affair.

  • Ep. 540 - Edinburgh Manor
    May 30 2024

The Joker isn't just a comic book villain. This is an entity said to reside at the Edinburgh Manor in Scotch Grove, Iowa and he too seems to be a villain. The manor was once a poor farm and as we have found through the years, these locations tend to come with haunts. After the original poor farm was dismantled, the brick manor was built and used to house the mentally ill, disabled and elderly. There are several spirits who have joined the Joker here. Join us as we explore the history and hauntings of the Edinburgh Manor! The Moment in Oddity features the Barnett Grave in the road and This Month in History features SpaceX Dragon. Our location was suggested by Karen Miller.

Egotistical, know it alls.

I listened to a couple episodes, and thought they were boring. I love history, but not the way these women tell it. Then I listened to the most recent (June 28, 2022) episode, and that settled it. They interviewed Mellanie of Veterans Paranormal. What an egotistical, self proclaiming expert she was. When you are a member of a field of study you don't cut down, ridicule, and bash other investigators. Everyone has their own investigation style, but Mellanie quite bluntly pointed out that anyone who believed in some of the top paranormal investigators are stupid. If you like to listen to people talk about how great they are, how smart they are, this is the podcast for you. Open minded paranormal enthusiasts, just pass this one by.
