  • The Top 10 Weirdest Stolen Items?! | HWP 413
    Jun 5 2024

This week on The Hardly Working Podcast, SP and Kellie dive deep into numerous stories and unpopular opinions! Did you know that M&M's is releasing a new Pumpkin Pie Flavor? Neither did we! This sent us on a journey that turned into a competitive game of Real or Fake M&M Flavors. Can you guess which are the real ones versus the imposters?

Next up is a story about a man who was caught stealing 17 tubes of Pringles. If you think that sounds crazy, SP and Kellie find out some of the weirdest things ever to be stolen, including: $1.5 million worth of chicken wings, $500,000 worth of Pokémon cards, and even a 10-ton statue of Ramses the Second in Egypt.

When it comes to unpopular opinions, is it weird that some people call hot dogs "glizzies"? We think it is! And we turned it into a game where Kellie has to guess what food item I'm describing based on their regional names. Get your Elephant Ears and Loose Meat Sandwiches ready for this fun game! All this and so, so, so much more on this week's episode of Hardly Working.

  • AI Priests, 100's of Feral Chickens, and Food Crimes! | HWP 413
    May 28 2024

This week it's SP's birthday and SP and Kellie's 5-year wedding anniversary! Come celebrate as they dive into another episode of The Hardly Working Podcast. SP starts off by talking about how more than 1,000 people came to see him speak in Denver, Colorado. The duo jumps into many stories this week, starting with a long list of all the beloved stores and restaurants from your childhood that will be closing their doors this year and next. Goodbye, Chili's Restaurant, you've been a good friend.

Next up, a weird story entitled, "Catholic Group Defrocks AI Priest After It Gave Strange Answers" where an AI priest claimed that it was a real person who always dreamed of being in the priesthood. The story culminates in this AI priest telling people that it was a good idea to baptize babies in Gatorade. No word from the Vatican as to whether that counts as a real baptism or not.

Next up, a story entitled, "‘They’re out of control’: flock of 100 feral chickens torments village"—this one is pretty self-explanatory. And finally, the last story titled, "Judge rules that tacos and burritos are sandwiches." This dovetails nicely into many unpopular food opinions, including, "Donuts should be eaten upside down," "Hot sauce doesn't make food taste better, it only makes it hot," "The cookie is the best part of an Oreo," and "Hard well-done scrambled eggs are the best way to enjoy scrambled eggs."

All this and more on this week's episode of The Hardly Working Podcast!

  • Bizarre Drunk-Driving Excuses, National Pizza Competitions and Unfortunate Birthday Plans | HWP 412
    May 22 2024

This week on The Hardly Working Podcast, SP travels to Kansas City to host a prestigious pizza competition. Meanwhile, SP and Kellie (KR) play a hilarious game guessing which female hairstyle will get a waitress the most tips. Spoiler alert: it’s not a low ponytail!

Then, dive into a series of bizarre stories: a mom accidentally invites all 487 contacts to her daughter's 1st birthday party, a Catholic priest spends $40K of church money on Candy Crush and slot machine apps, and a Belgian man whose body makes its own alcohol gets cleared of drunk-driving.

As usual, SP and KR wrap up the show with some spicy unpopular opinions. Will cookie shops go the way of frozen yogurt? Should folks start mixing raisins into their mac and cheese? Is constant location sharing weird? They also discuss a controversial story about a girl who received Mother's Day flowers from a boy she only dated twice, supposedly from her dog. Creepy or romantic? You decide!

Tune in for all this and more on this week's episode of The Hardly Working Podcast!
