New York Times best-selling author Nalini Singh takes us on a new adventure in the latest novel of the Psy-Changeling Trinity series.

The end of Silence was supposed to create a better world for future generations. But trust is broken, and the alliance between Psy, Changeling, and human is thin. The problems that led to Silence are back in full force. Because Silence fixed nothing, just hid the problems.

This time, the Psy have to find a real answer to their problems - if one exists. Or their race will soon go extinct in a cascade of violence. The answer begins with an empath who is attuned to monsters - and who is going to charm a wolf into loving her despite his own demons.

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

I almost gave up.

I loved all of the Changeling and Trinity books except for the water changeling story. So glad I hung in there for this one. it opened up great new avenues for Ms Sing to explore. The story was great. had me smiling and choked up with tears. cant wait for the next one. Angela Daws is AMAZING. Her accents, consistency of voices are great. she does a great child's voice. listening to these books wouldn't be the same without her. She brings the characters to life.

Another Amazing Accomplishment by Singh!

Wolf Rain is part of the Psy-Changeling series #18 and a continuation of the Trinity #3 series which is written by Nalini Singh and narrated by Angela Dawe.

No Spoilers:

First, I want to mention how grateful I am that this amazing author decided to remain with the same narrator even after twenty-one stories told, thanks to Nalini. Yes, I believe there might be some other narrators I can think of that could do a great job as well yet, Angela has been there from the beginning and does a fantastic job with every single character. Each character is completely unique and I am able to tell who is talking without the mention many authors do ahead of time during conversations, wonderful job. To many of my series have been completely ruined due to a change of narrators after ten novels, it is pivotal (even if the narrator could be replaced with a much better one) to remain with their first pick, obviously, this is not the case with Ms. Dawe, thankfully.

It is obvious by now if you have continued to read this far into my review that it is understood that I am a fan of the Psy-Changeling series. Nalini Singh is a wonderful world builder and has an imagination that is vast. What I appreciate about this series is the believability of this storyline occurring in my day to day life. If you are reading my review on Wolf Rain do not start here, go back to Slave of Salvation and enjoy my friend because you are in for an amazing journey of love, sadness, oppression, liberation, strong resolute characters, and always a happily ever after.

The hero of Wolf Rain is Alexei Harte a wolf shifter from the Snow Dancers' pack, up until this story I had not heard much of Alexei except for a few video conferences between their alpha and his top tier of wolfs. Alexei is running one of the dens within the Snow Dancers territory and during one of his runs he is nearly overcome by such strong emotion he is nearly brought to his knees. For such a person to feel such strong pain worries him and for that individual to be on his territory is an even greater issue. Alexei finds an abused woman named Memory deep within the earth, and during this story, they each learn how to trust and heal with the help of the other. The continuation of the Trinity storyline occurs and the reader can hear how all our favorite characters are doing. Ms. Singh is great about allowing her readers to catch up with not simply the last characters but most of the main characters we have spent time with throughout her series, this is a great way to help her readers feel apart of the story, not just a bystander.

If you have read all of the stories up until Wolf Rain there is no reason to stop now, this is a great addition to an already substantial series, enjoy!

Yes. Loved being back with the pack.

This story had intriguing new elements to ongoing arc of story, but I got to see beloved characters of original Psi-Changling world again, which made me happy. And they were not just random cameos, it all fit together well.
The concept of a E Psi with a dark side was fascinating concept as well. Loved it from start to finish.

My New Almost-Favorite!

I absolutely loved Memory and her grumpy wolf, but the thing I liked best about this book was that it fit into the larger world, with the huge cast of characters and the overall plot of both Psy-Changeling and Trinity without crushing the growth of and romance between Alexei and Memory. With the blurb, I was afraid that would happen, but Nalini Singh's stories are, at their heart, driven by characters and relationships. Wolf Rain is my new third favorite of the series after Caleb's book and Silver Silence, because, you know, bears.

Had to strain to hear narration.

Don't know if the narrators voice was just soft, but I had to hold my device right to my ear to hear at all. Head phones, ear buds, etc. did not help.

Perfect adventure story!

This was the first book I read by Nalini Singh. I loved it! It made perfect sense even though it’s like book 19 or so in the series. I had the feeling that it wasn’t the first book in a series only because there was so much in this world, such a rich and detailed back story. I was so excited to learn that there were many more books and I have enjoyed every one of them. She is a great author. A good mix of creativity, good descriptions, amazing characters, and the plot never drags. I highly recommend her books.

The Narrator is great, too. I can usually tell who is talking. She Does a great job between male and female voices, and with the various accents, and doing children’s voices.
