Hace tres años viví lo que sería el derrumbe de mi vida: tres grandes pérdidas en solo tres meses. La primera fue la ruptura de 34 años de matrimonio. Aunque fue un duelo liberador, trajo consigo desilusión y una marcada debilidad económica. Después ocurrió la muerte accidental de mi yerno, un ser maravilloso que dejó a mi hija mayor de 32 años viuda y con un hijo de poco más de un año, ambos absolutamente devastados y sin piso. Finalmente, a las dos semanas, ocurrió la muerte de mi madre, (81 años) quien seguía siendo el centro de la familia, una matriarca. Estas dos últimas pérdidas me derribaron. Estuve en estado de duelo por más de dos años. Esta es la razón principal por la que nace este libro, donde reúno mi conocimiento como psicoterapeuta y mi vivencia quienes inician su proceso de duelo. Para mí, acompañar al lector a través del libro en su proceso, es la manera de ser coherente con el nuevo sentido de mi vida después de lograr - da le doy sentido a mis pérdidas, acompañando y apoyando a quien lo necesite con las suyas.
