Publisher's summary

Victoria Barnett has it all: a great career as a nurse practitioner, a handsome and loving husband, a beautiful home in the suburbs, and a plan to fill it with children. Life is perfect—or so it seems. Then she’s in a terrible accident...and everything falls apart. Now Victoria is unable to walk. She can’t feed or dress herself. She can’t even speak. She is confined to the top floor of her house with 24-hour care.

Sylvia Robinson is hired by Victoria’s husband to help care for her. But it turns out Victoria isn’t as impaired as Sylvia was led to believe. There’s a story Victoria desperately wants to tell...if only she could get the words out. Then Sylvia discovers Victoria’s diary hidden away in a drawer. And what’s inside is shocking.

Great book

I Loved this one! Finished it all in one day. Edge of my seat, very twisted and every level and kept me guessing

Entertaining but some similarities

Entertaining and had a good twist at the end. The characters and storyline were similar to Verity, which I enjoyed a lot. The characters are not very believable and there are some unanswered questions at the end.

Not Bad

Not a bad story, just somewhat predictable. So many other Freida books have amazing twists. This one was just kinda okay. It was not my favorite, but still pretty good.

Wow!

You will think you have figured it out, but then you change your mind. Then you are surprised at the ending , but guess what you are wrong again. Then you realize later on you were right one of those times you thought you were wrong. I totally enjoy red herrings and surprises. Such an intriguing story. I could not put it down and missed out o sleep to finish this.

Narration was painful

Angie Kane’s narration of Vicki, as the victim, was so whiney and over dramatic and awful I could barely finish the audio book. I now find myself deliberately searching the narrator’s name so that I don’t have to listen to her narrating another book. It was that bad. Also, the story line wasn’t very interesting and quite predictable.

Good story overall

I liked the story with the twists but the narrating was awful. I had a hard time finishing it because of the narrating. Just dull and no expression. I usually give 5 stars but I cannot with the performance.
