It’s the summer of ’77 in New York City, and the only thing more unnerving than the scorching heatwave is the rampant murder, leaving washed-up homicide detective Richard Dietrich on edge. When Dietrich investigates a brutal mob hit the brass doesn’t want him to solve, he goes from phoning it in to getting in over his head. Caught up in a mysterious second homicide with an even more perplexing perpetrator, Dietrich starts to second guess his instincts—and his memory—as he searches for answers at the bottom of a bottle.

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Story
Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti - Dozens of names refer to the existence of a similar creature. Native American tribes have hundreds of stories that have been passed down from generation to generation. The Cherokee has one such story of a beast called Tsula 'kalu, who is said to be a forest-dwelling giant living in solitude covered in hair from head to foot. Many believe that the government is aware of Sasquatch, and to protect financial interests, they choose to cover up what they know. Many other theories permeate the landscape of cryptozoology, yet no scientific proof has ever been documented. ...

Bane County is an Ongoing Saga . . . Mystery, Suspense, an edge-of-your-seat Thriller with characters you’ll fall in love with. An old-school, heart-pounding, coming-of-age Horror series with 1,000s of 5-Star Reviews. For nearly two decades, life in the small rural town of Silver Canyon had been peaceful and serene. People went about their daily lives as usual, completely oblivious to the inescapable horror that loomed on the horizon. All but a select few of Bane County’s residents had forgotten the macabre occurrences of the past. It was hard to believe that twenty-one people, missing ...

Story
A werewolf is preying upon the denizens of a small town. The only people who know what it is, who understand what is happening, are children. A group of third-graders isn't exactly the most credible source of information, especially when it comes to the fantastical. They grow up being ridiculed, shunned, bullied, and mistreated by their peers and the broader community. Years later, it returns, but this time, Thomas and his friends are prepared for it. As grown werewolf hunters, they must use every bit of courage they have to face the monster. Nothing short of killing it will suffice.

ARCHAEOLOGY IS HIS PROFESSION. PROTECTING HUMANITY IS HIS CALLING.On some level, Dr. Gideon Wolf hoped that being a demigod would have its perks. Not necessarily throngs of adoring worshipers continuously bowing at his feet, but at least, you know, a lull maybe in the endless onslaught of assassins sent to kill him and steal his power. But since reluctantly assuming the mantle of one of seven guardians of humanity—for Gideon a perplexing and occasionally unwelcome “honor” bestowed upon him by fate—he’s been shocked by how many lost souls he’s supposed to protect want him dead. ...

Story
When two marines and their corpsman reunite after a decade apart, they find themselves caught up in the mystery of their former squad leader’s disappearance. With little more to go on than a handful of disturbing charcoal sketches and the whispers of a local legend, they plunge into the depths of one of America’s last truly wild places. But the trees themselves begin to whisper dark secrets. Secrets of trafficking and violence. Of rotten science and blood. Of something else that lurks in the shadows of the pines—something ancient, savage, and hungry.

Story
Troy Turner is a writer living alone in a secluded cabin in the Rocky Mountains. He thought the small, peaceful valley miles away from the busy resort town of Hawthorn would be the perfect setting for his work. He invites two of his closest friends to stay a few weeks to do some hunting in the rugged and remote area. After their arrival, Troy gives them a tour around the property and plans are made to get an early start the next day. Morning arrives quickly and the eager hunters head out to their tree stands to settle in for a long hunt. Soon, an unexpected storm front moves in, and they ...

It was good It has some realism to people
It was good it had some realism to people always wanting to be an authority. I don't want to sound cliche but, your average who's the boss? story. Where people are not allowed to have self defense, their is no Declaration Of Independence as in the Civil war. These two groups are confused about their relationship, how to have territory, what is right and what is wrong. These and many more are always lost in how things happened as if their is a greater story here. It was alright, It could have been better. The ending was awful, and the challenge to ones own privacy and rights is at question that was never answered. It just seems as if you don't dislike these people( police) they dont know how to handle it, they believe your weak and dislike you. It antagonizes you to engage, then your wrong cliche story line. Inxs---Listen like thieves is a good song, reflectively like a game show host on the physics radio. Their losing touch when the lights go out, listen like thieves for answers.
I cant help but think the government on private property is illegal and vigilantism. On that note it seems like people are lost in their wrongs to the point that its a living war. their is no right no wrong everything is a game show on the radio. Some commander who doesnt belong on private property or doing whatever he wants to do and law enforcement with the government being so lost they are wrong to start with. Their are many issues with in this story that could have made the story more interesting, what came before? I can see the confusion of situations never being addressed. Their is no justice despite cases of law that are already recorded, some where in here cases of law are inconvenient and put aside until it sounds like a game show on the radio. And that writing this is long and not the way other people see it, I should have no right to write my opinion though I am doing no harm in doing so. Who is on the radio?

Worst book ever
This was the stupidest book I've ever listened to. It made no sense. Don't waste your credit or time. Not even worth it for free.

Good book!
Liked the storyline. Not overly sexualized. But still managed to be a good story. I hope there will be a book two.
