Publisher's summary

Ethan Baudin abandoned police work in the midst of corruption and cover up at the Cheyenne PD. Now living in Venice, California, he thinks that life is gone forever. Then his old partner, Kyle Dixon, now chief of police, shows up at his doorstep, asking for his help.

A killer is loose in Cheyenne that brutally murders young women and leaves their bodies in public. The crime scenes are clean, and with no evidence to work off of, Dixon is growing more desperate.

Dixon knows Baudin has a special insight into these types of monsters and he makes Baudin an offer that is difficult to turn down: Help me find him, and I'll help you arrest the man you've wanted behind bars for more than a decade.

One more time, Baudin must enter the darkness of the human mind. That place where you reach for demons, and they reach for you back.

I binged the series. I loved the ending

I liked how the three books covered different periods of time. Well worth the time spent listening.

Wow, for the wrap-up!

I enjoy Victor Methos and have listened to many of his books. IMHO, this should have been written as one book. at the most two. No matter, it was fabulous! I am not quite sure if I like the characters in this story or if I think situations were handled correctly, but I loved it! oh my gosh, The Ending!!

stellar narration

This book is really well written with a good storyline. The only drawback is that you could see the "twist" coming a mile away. I personally prefer a few surprises. what really puts this over the top is the amazing narration. Patrick really puts you in the story. well worth the credit.

Wow, what a dark great series by Methos

Excellent narration as well. Some dark subject matter but wow, so we'll written and executed in this trilogy.

Bravo!

Thrilling story…Not so thrilled this was a whole credit

I wish shorter books like this wouldn’t be a whole credit the same as much longer books. Most of the time I listen to 10-16hour long novels. So to “pay” for this 4hour book is a bust.
The story itself was entertaining, definitely a crime thriller.

Terrible

So who was the killer? Absolute power corrupts absolutely is the lesson I guess. Man is definitely the cruelest animal.
