Unnerving music sets the tone for this F. Marion Crawford bone-chiller from 1886. Jonathan Keeble's cautious delivery builds unease. His resonant, almost whispered, baritone jazzes up this old-fashion ghost story about a boat with a mysterious porthole and possessed passengers. American writer Crawford, working at the turn of the 20th century, was a master storyteller known best for his weird and fantastical stories.
