Publisher's summary

Raven Romero lost the Sword of Souls, giving up the search for the only weapon that could kill Odin.

Instead, she teamed up with human detective William Callahan to find the drug lord responsible for Venom - a narcotic leaving dead humans and supernaturals in its wake. But priorities change when a greater evil threatens Midgard and the only way to defeat it is with the sword.

Being the humans’ champion isn’t easy, especially during withdrawal and trying to stay sober. And Raven is struggling with both.

Enemies become friends and new enemies emerge as the hunt begins for the Sword of Souls.

And it just keeps getting better!

Why oh why must I always crush on the bad guys?! It has to be the narration and the story as a whole, because damn.

Karina's storytelling ability only gets better with each book, and the authenticity of her characters only makes them so relatable. Not all heroes wear capes from the get and Raven's complicated history, vices, and internal struggles make you want her to win so damn much. With so many challenges, obstacles, and threats, you will sit on the edge of your seat during this listen.
