Publisher's summary

Performed by acclaimed narrators Simon Prebble and Mary Jane Wells.

A brazen murder. A lone witness. And a callous killer who will stop at nothing to silence her forever....

London, 1899: Lady Constance has seen too much, and now, her life is in danger. The beautiful, aristocratic newlywed is the sole witness in a murder case, and without her testimony, a killer will walk free. Her husband is distraught, thinking any harm might come to his young bride, whose affection is the only thing that has given his wayward life purpose.

A ray of hope appears when the London Queen’s counsel hires Sherlock and Lucy to protect Lady Constance. The Baker Street Team spirits her away to safety, and all appears to be well. That is, until a shocking turn of events makes it clear that danger is imminent for all of them, and there is no safe place to hide.

The team must work ‘round the clock to find and catch an old enemy before his deeds turn deadly once again. Will Lady Luck smile on them? Or, will Lady Constance pay the ultimate price for knowing too much?

A thrilling and fast-paced take on a classic Sherlock whodunit, complete with hairpin turns and an unexpected twist even seasoned Sherlock and Lucy fans won’t see coming. The Solitary Witness stays faithful to the spirit of the original series but offers new characters and a fresh take on the beloved classics.

I love interaction between Sherlock and Lucy

I love the whole series, and I hope there will more titles of this series on Audible.
The interaction between all the characters is so much fun ( Sherlock, Watson , Lucy, Jack and his sister and the Baker Street Irregulars such as Flynn).

Very good

Another enjoyable, well-written mystery in this series.

I've said it before, but it's worthy of repeating: I love sherlock Holmes' books in which the addition of a new characters doesn't make fools of any of the original ones. Lucy is a great character herself, and I'll keep reading stories in this series.

Both, Simon Prebble and Mary Jane Wells do an excellent job with the narration.

Shorter story...

I have listened to quite of few of the books in this series. Almost all of them were very well done. This is the first short story in the series that I listened to. I wasn't really impressed.
The story was very unoriginal and I was able to guess the almost everything that happened...
It also seemed like the quality of the audiobook was less than previous productions/the longer stories.
