Difficult to Love
- By Lynn on 06-06-20
Publisher's summary
Becca has always known something is off about that room.
The one at the top of the stairs. The one CB stayed in.
Yes, a terrible tragedy occurred within those walls, but there is more to it than that.
She had heard rumors about it, as well. Rumors about something happening to anyone who stays there for long periods of time.
For over a year now, she had dismissed them as exactly that—rumors.
But now, Mia is the one living in it. And Becca doesn't like the changes she is seeing in her… at all.
This book ends on a cliffhanger, which is resolved in book eight, The Search. This series is best enjoyed in order.

Story
I’ve lived on this quiet street for years, in the same house I once shared with my husband and our beloved daughter, Chloe. Now they’re both gone and my home, that used to be filled with laughter, is too quiet, too still. When a little boy I don’t recognize knocks at my door, without a parent in sight, I’m shocked. He trembles with nerves, and I tell him I can help find his mother. But I’m not prepared for what he says next. I’m left frozen, heart pounding in my chest.

Monreith, Massachusetts, was once a small community of whalers and farmers. These days it’s a well-to-do town filled with commuters drawn to its rugged coastline and country roads. A peaceful, predictable place—until popular restaurateur Laurel Thibodeau is found brutally murdered in her own home. Suspicion naturally falls on Laurel’s husband, Simon, who had gambling debts that only her life insurance policy could fix. But there are other rumors too. Love it!!
Can’t wait for the next book. Omg!! Becca drives me crazy with her”I don’t understand”. She is so clueless sometimes and I don’t understand why she keeps secrets instead of sharing it with her friends. The narrator she is great. Hurry with the next book please.
I wonder if Daniel and Becca will get back together but I feel like they should stay as friends and Mia she has been a bit mean to poor Becca.
