Great story, poor narrator

I've been binging all the books in the series. This is the first one I've struggled with. The narrator is monotone and I struggle to know who is speaking as most characters sound the same. There is little character difference. It sounds like AI generated.

Hard to follow

There is a new narrator. She did not do voices well. Every other sentence had a “she said or he said” or other variation of the same. She showed very little emotion in her words. In fact, I checked to make sure it wasn’t AI generated. Please bring back Chelsea for future volumes! I loved the first four books but this one really turned me off. I struggled to finish the story.

Good story, ok narration.

The continued story is great. My only criticism is that the narrator is not, in my opinion, best suited to an action packed sci-fi story. Her voice is very soothing, and better suited to bedtime stories.

New Narrator is garbage.

I have no idea why they changed narrator in the middle of the series but it was a really bad decision. I loved the first couple books and the narrator was decent but I am pretty sure this will be the last story of the series I waste my time with especially if they keep this new narrator. Disappointed for sure.
