Enjoyable

Author Lori Beasley Bradley is relatively new to me and this is my first book narrated by Kathleen Miranti who is new to me. Return of the Drifter is Casey Miller and Tucker Riley’s story.
Recently divorced Casey is visiting with a friend when she meets Tucker who invites her to visit the old set of his parent’s famous show. He and his family are going to turn it into an entertainment venue. This intrigues Casey as she has spent a great deal of her life working at renaissance and medieval fairs designing and making costumes.
As Tucker and Casey get to know one another, he offers her the chance to become involved. The attraction between them is obvious but not everyone is happy and when truths are revealed they will have to decide what is more important.
The narration was okay but I felt that the male voices let the story down a little.

Enjoyed the story and characters

This was an interesting story. Stars of an old western show tried to rebuild the old set. Casey and Tucker had their ups and downs as they worked to improve the buildings. I loved how Casey used her smarts to find different ways to bring in some funds. Tucker was so protective of Casey, even when they had their disagreements. Through the dangers and the thievery happening around them, these two found a way to happiness. The narrator for this audiobook, Kathleen Miranti, was a bit hard to listen to at times, but I did enjoy the story.

I was given a copy of the audiobook, and this is my unsolicited review.
