Some nightmares you can't forget

From the depths of sleep, Seattle TV reporter Anna Malone awakens to her phone ringing. She rarely drinks, and this hangover is brutal. Why can't she shake the feeling that something terrible happened last night? And why can't she recall any of it?

But even worse

What Anna does remember: an awkward restaurant meal with her married lover, Russ Knoll, and his unsuspecting wife, Courtney. Russ' phone call reveals that Courtney is missing, and as days go by with no trace, he comes under police scrutiny. Anna's in the spotlight, too, thanks to a TV rival with a grudge. Anna's not proud of her affair, but she and Russ aren't bad people. They're certainly not the killing kind.

Is the one you can't remember....

Anna already suspected that Courtney - a successful, charming author - might have a darker side. Is she truly missing? Perhaps the sudden disturbances in Anna's life aren't accidental after all. But no scenario that Anna imagines can compare to the twisted game unfolding around her, one chilling piece at a time....

Love The Twists

I loved how it kept you on your toes. Just when you think you know who did it and what going on it would be something totally different.

Not bad!

It kept my interest with it's many twists and turns as to who done it, although then it went a bit all over the place in that vein. However, I don't regret purchasing this book. May try another one by this author.

Boring narration

This could have been an exciting book, but the monotone narration completely ruined it for me. I would skip this narration by Kyle Tait next time.

Could not stop listening

This author has improved immensely. I did not like Unspeakable (2013) but he had some potential so tried this book. Wow! I could not stop listening. Great twists and well put together. I am just going to stick to his newer books. Enjoy!!!

Love the plot twist

Like the twist the story continues through the plot, keeps the listener engaged from start to finish. The reader goes at a great pace and is very easy to listen to

Got me again.

The suspense had me at the edge of my seat from start to end. I was able to figure out who did what but not why until the chapter before the author told me & was amazed that I got it right. The book keeps you guessing the whole time.

Not as good as others but Okay

I didn't care for the narrator in this Kevin O'Brien book and almost didnt finish it because of him. He sounded monotone like other listeners have mentioned and had a weird almost questioning way of speaking. The plot was slow as well but i got through it and even though i figured out who the guilty person was before the ending it was decent.
