Dead bodies are normal to John. They don't demand or expect the empathy he's unable to offer. Perhaps that's what gives him the objectivity to recognize that there's something different about the body the police have just found behind the Wash-n-Dry Laundromat - and to appreciate what that difference means.

love this series. Keeps my interest
The entire series kept my interest. At times the stories kind of overlap but there is enough difference to keep interest. Hoping book 15 will be on audible soon.

The Story was good!
The Story was good. The characters where flushed out and relatable. The only issue I had was with the performance. I didn't care for her voice. But that is just one person's opinion.

Same story over and over
This isn’t the FBI. It is a very sad boring story over and over in each book. Heaven help us if the FBI is as non thinking as the “heroine” of these books.
