this book was a delight to read like all his other books. I hope that lots of other readers get to enjoy the series

-I was happily surprised when this book came out, I love this series, and Drew Hayes' writing and really thought the 2nd Hand Curses book was the latest book of his, but this came out just after. Score.

-Love Kirby Heyborne as the narrator and voice actor. The voice of Fred is done so perfectly, it just suits his character so well, meek mild mannered, yet full of emotion as well. And his portrayal of the other characters, Bubba, Richard, Art all have their individual voices, and Gideon (the dragon) is of course very good.
Loved the addition of new characters such as Wallace, Art's agency/ special forces friend. You can feel the size of the guy, big heart but a bit stupid with the performance of Heybourne.

There was a weird moment Chapter 22, 3.40 where the narrator states "also chapter 125" , i'm sure it was just missed in editing, but will be revised in future editions.

--The structure is the same as the previous 3 books, 5 separate stories, definitely separate yet building on each other.

-A Negotiation at the Table
-An Inventory in the Base

Each story was great, and i'm eagerly waiting for the next instalment.

This series is a real pleasure for me to listen to. Its not that I can't wait to hear what happens next, its not that kind of book, each little story concludes relatively well by itself, ..its just that the snippets into Fred's life with these books just flows so well and i just want to hear more and more.

Plus I AM still waiting to hear more about the little easter egg gem that was dropped in Book 2 Chapter 2, where we find out that the laws and customs that guide the para-normal world are published in plain sight in the game manual for ‘Swords, Spells & Stealth’ which is an obscure role-playing game. Ie. another book that Drew Hayes writes, inferring there could be some cross over in future books

The Perfect Voice for Fred

I love this series and I love Kirby Heyborne's voice acting. I held off reading the book until the Audible version came out because I had to hear it in "Fred's voice". The book is split into smaller sections as are the earlier books in the series. This book takes Fred away from home on a few adventures and while I missed some of the characters I've come to enjoy in previous books, I enjoyed getting to know Amy and Arch a little better. If you enjoy the series you will welcome this new addition!

I’m sad I finished

The fred series makes me laugh out loud a lot. I love the humor, the suspense, and the originality. I wish Fred could be a Netflix original series

Yep, Fred is just the best... worst hero possible, always falls into the most incredible situations, always ends up on top... Great book!

Drew Hayes knows how to write books with cliffhanger endings! I've listened to the majority of his works here and I can't wait for the next installment of each story thread he weaves. Kirby Heyborne was fantastic as well. I'm still working on his renditions of the Recluse books and can't seem to get enough of his voice as I listen and read along with him from my paperbacks of that series. Keep up the good works gentlemen!

Great story, excellent narrator

My husband and I are listening our way thru the Freddy series and just love it. We were discussing yesterday, how the narrator, Kirby, was the perfect voice for Freddy. All the other voices were great also! We also like the stories, the narrator is quite pithy. Thanks to all for the entertainment!!!
