Wonderful book. As always Jeff Cabins knows how to speak to the heart. I would recommend this book to anyone who is trying to find a direction in their spiritual life

Truly Moving
I've always been a shy person and I try to be polite and not make anyone uncomfortable with my faith. but I feel truly moved by this book and have taken immediate steps and take action to bring Christ to others. This book is extremely engaging, every chapter there is something new I haven't heard and it feels so inspired and led by the holy spirit. I have enjoyed a book as much as this in years, it has changed my perspective and has incited me to reach for more from where ever I am at. I don't need to be anyone just need to be me to bring Christ to others. I don't have to be the clever, witty, and deep theologian to impact others and share the good news of Christ. I feel truly inspired and hope I can live up to what God has called me to.

Decent story about becoming a disciple of Christ, especially for Catholics
While I was raised Catholic and called myself that for 35 years, I found a new relationship with Christ in non-Catholic churches and Bible study. It is fair to say that I had no relationship prior to leaving the Catholic Church.
The Activated Disciple covers many of the practices that I have found to be true and explained some things (like asking saints to pray for us rather than praying TO saints) I have misunderstood. It is a good read, and don’t get discouraged by all the catechism references. To me those are a distraction from the Word as found in the Bible.
