Story
Pete is a simple man who enjoys a good drink amongst good friends. Not too much to ask, right? Now, he's trapped in a fantasy world far from home, stuck underground and inside the body of a smelly dwarf with fantastic facial hair. The worst part? The swill that the dwarves are falling all over themselves to drink. It's flat, it's watery, and it has the alcohol content of a rancid coconut. Can Pete save the dwarves from their own sour fate, or will he be forever doomed to plink his pickaxe away in hopes that he hits the motherlode?

Chad Johnson built his following by being a troll. Online games, social media, you name it—he's there with a witty comeback. But when he goes too far during a televised stream, he's handed a punishment unlike any other. Instead of the usual ban or suspension, Chad's sentenced to 30 days of full immersion therapy in Isle of Mythos—a world of epic fantasy filled with dungeons and mythical creatures. The twist? He's forced to embody a forest troll, one of the most despised races in Mythos.

A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

Story
Katarina Ashowan was not made for courtly life. Sure, her father is the famous house witch of Daxaria so she was raised among majestic castles, proper manners, and royal expectations. But Kat is also a mutated witch whose power aligns predominantly with fire. She’s more comfortable riding horses or learning to fight than she is making polite conversation and wearing fancy dresses. Which is why her upcoming assignment—serving her best friend, Alina, the soon-to-be crowned Troivackian queen—is anything but ideal.

Publisher's summary
With age comes wisdom. For a seasoned adventurer, it also comes with back pain.
Taking quests, exploring ruins, and camping under the stars. For Dobbin Thornhill, there’s no better life than that of an adventurer. Especially with a reputation like his.
For all he’s gained, the loss of a friend during a botched quest still weighs heavy on his heart. How fitting that his next job will take him into Hells’ Crag, a dragon-ruined city still haunted by spirits half a millennia after the attack.
His task? Acquiring the elusive dragonfire mushroom—a rare delicacy rumored to grant visions to those who consume it.
While grief has led Dobbin to a life of solo adventures, some jobs can’t be done alone. Joining forces goes against his every instinct, but in a land of shadows, a cast of unlikely companions could be exactly what he needs to see the light again.
If he can find the courage to let someone else in.
Welcome to the enchanting world of Tales of Aedrea, where small-scale stories, low-stakes adventure, and cozy fantasy come to life within an epic, high-fantasy realm.

Sooo soooo good!
Yet another fantastic cosy fantasy set in the cursed cocktails universe! A bit more adventure in this one, but plenty of taverns, quests and tales of past adventures abound… Narrator hit this one out of the park as well.. I hope Rowland keeps writing books in this universe!

Love this new world that has been created for us
Rowland’s LITRPG has been amazing. I’ve loved reading and listening to all of his works. This new world of characters and magic that he has created with this and cursed cocktails really does bring us into this cozy fantasy world. The writing is great. The narration is spot on. This is a must for all fans of fantasy. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher

Fun, heart-warming, good time
This was a delightful journey. It takes a while to get to the found family part, but it was a steady pace throughout the book. A fine journey made by Dobbin both physically and metaphorically. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, it leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy.

a nice bite sized cozy fantasy
first I highly recommend reading/listening to cursed cocktails first. Eric Jason Martin does a great job narrating as always.
this book is a little more fast paced and features a bit more action but has several satisfying call backs to CC.
I devoured this story and looking forward to the next!

I loved this book and it was cozy enough for me...
I really couldn't comprehend how a second book in this universe would work because everything was wrapped up so nicely in the Cursed Cocktail, but of course this wasn't about that book at all, other than getting mention or two. This book is about Dobbin an adventurer who stopped by the pub just as it was getting it's legs. And Dobbin had stopped by to be fortified before he had'ta face down the rich noble for his next job. Which turned out to be that he would need to go to the Dragon blighted land and locate a particular mushroom. Why a mushroom find out read the book. And nobody, but nobody goes to the blighted land, or if they do they don't come back.
So go grab the book and see how that turned out!

A book taking place in the same world as Cursed Cocktails. It can be read as a standalone, but here are minor references to the book - especially in the beginning.
I had fun traveling back to the world of Aedrea, and it's a lovely cozy read for the upcoming autumn season
