In my top 5 sleep audios

Got this shortly after it appeared in fall of 21, my second one when starting to acquire “sleep stories”. It was over a year before I think I had heard all of the book but never fully from start to finish….which for me, qualified it as the very point of a go to sleep story.

Great Story

Loved it. Enjoyed what I heard before I fell asleep. And listened to it again after waking to get the full story

Unexpected

Interesting with good Voice, the telling of information was unknown for some of it. The subjects wandered a bit and the ending was abrupt and left you feeling like there was still more to come. I listened to the Audio 4 times and still experienced the same feelings.

Best bedtime story EVER.

This is one of the few and only bedtime stories that I can listen to, time and time again, and GUARANTEE that I have never made it through to the end. Granted, that is until just now...
The dulcet tones of Brian Cox’s narration immediately sets my usually overstimulated brain into a state of safety, relaxation, and ease.
The only flaw I can remark on is that the audible is so incredibly well produced that I’ve had to listen to the story at least 50 times before finally making it to the very end without falling asleep.

I NEVER submit personal reviews. However, I absolutely had to remark on this one! 👏🤗🤩

Really good background on the Fay folk

The narrator was awesome and I really appreciate the way he could draw you into the history of this Celtic belief, and I would not doubt that their people today still believe in fairies :-) I would recommend it for anyone who likes or is even getting interested in Irish or Scottish or Germanic historic fantasy.

loved it!

other than being often not understandable, I enjoyed the information very much. This would make a very good television show, with art work and actors included!

Eh

I forgot that this is sold as a bedtime story so I was surprised with such an abrupt ending. And was pretty disappointed with the whole thing all around, to be honest. The title says superstitions, but fairies were the only thing talked about. I like the idea of fairies being real so I didn't mind that for the most part, but I was expecting more.
I don't if this is a series, I'll have to go back and look, but I'd be interested in learning more of the superstitions from the area.

Some of the words were hard to understand, considering they were Scottish and the neavy accent of the narrator. I wish there was a printed version so I could go back and read it.

Very Interesting

A very interesting short read, delightfully read, about fairies and their influences upon mankind and culture.
