A Space Wolves Novel

The Space Wolves are savage heroes, unmatched for ferocity in battle – but as events spiral out of control, can even Njal Stormcaller keep them in line?

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

Chris Wraight cements his reputation as a master of Space Wolves fiction, in a story that places the powerful Space Wolves psyker Njal Stormcaller at the forefront of a ferocious conflict. It's time for a literal psychic storm!

THE STORY

The Space Wolves are the sons of Leman Russ, feral warrior-kings of Fenris. Few can match these savage heroes for ferocity in battle, and as events on the plague-wracked world of Ras Shakeh spin out of control, they join the Imperial force descending upon the blighted planet.

When the famed Rune Priest Njal Stormcaller arrives to reinforce the embattled Jarnhamar pack, he finds his battle-brothers at one another's throats, each pursuing their own agendas. While he struggles to bring them in line, the forces of the Ecclesiarchy fight to retake their world and uncover the sinister secret behind Ras Shakeh's corruption, a secret that threatens the survival of the Imperium itself.

Best spacewolf book yet

Finally black library has found someone who writes the wolves well! This book, and it's predecessor, are a great look into the what goes on in the minds of them. The death guard and ecclesiarchy elements added to make a very fun story.

Excellent writing and voice acting

10/10 would recommend to any fan of Warhammer 40k. I hope this author and voice actor team up for future space wolves novels, I would buy every one of them. Now I begin the next book, the last of this great trilogy.

For Russ and the Allfather!

I love this series, an excellent representation of what it means to be a space wolf. And some of the implications are.. fascinating..

Good series

I thought adding how the light and the darkness within this universe makes 40k different from Age of Sigmar and Fantasy. The narration was spot on as well. Make it could be an abridged version please!

That was a great 40k book!

Another excellent Space Wolves novel by Wraight. He captures the strong but likeable personalities from the first book in the series and expands on them. The action and plot are well paced, exciting and straightforward. Wraight is able to write within the 40K universe and also add little twists that might shock traditionalists such as having an Eldar Wraithknight corrupted by Nurgle and by the decisions the main characters take to break away from their Chapter. Also Andrew James Spooner once again did a great job narrating the story.
