INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!

“Very few authors have the power to make you laugh on one page and cry on the next. Moyes is one of them.” —
The New York Times

A story of mix-ups, mess-ups and making the most of second chances, this is the new novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Jojo Moyes, author of Me Before You and The Giver of Stars

Who are you when you are forced to walk in someone else’s shoes?

Nisha Cantor lives the globetrotting life of the seriously wealthy, until her husband announces a divorce and cuts her off. Nisha is determined to hang onto her glamorous life. But in the meantime, she must scramble to cope--she doesn’t even have the shoes she was, until a moment ago, standing in.

That’s because Sam Kemp—in the bleakest point of her life—has accidentally taken Nisha’s gym bag. But Sam hardly has time to worry about a lost gym bag—she’s struggling to keep herself and her family afloat. When she tries on Nisha’s six-inch high Christian Louboutin red crocodile shoes, the resulting jolt of confidence that makes her realize something must change—and that thing is herself.

Full of Jojo Moyes’ signature humor, brilliant storytelling, and warmth, Someone Else’s Shoes is a story about how just one little thing can suddenly change everything.

Editorial Review

An ideal February listen
Jojo Moyes is responsible for my first audio ugly cry (thanks, Me Before You), but despite the tumultuous start to our relationship, Moyes has been an auto-download for me ever since. Her latest novel, Someone Else’s Shoes, is a second-chance tale centered on female friendship. Disha and Sam lead very different lives, but a mix-up leads to a chance at reinvention that is sure to make listeners root for both women. The word I keep hearing associated with Someone Else’s Shoes is warmth—and between Moyes’ seamless, signature storytelling and a performance from British actress Daisy Ridley (of Star Wars fame), this is sure to be the listen I need to warm my cold, February heart. —Katie O., Audible Editor

Surprisingly delightful

I usually go for the crime /murder mysteries/ suspense with some romance in their kind of book. I wanted to try something new and decided on this one and am so glad I did. The characters were relatable, there were plenty of laugh out aloud moments. It was narrated amazingly well. I very much recommend! I will be checking out more book from this author (and narrator) !

Really fun story!

It took no time to get right into the story. Perfectly paced character building and the characters and situations are very relatable. Loved the narration - so many lovely accents (good job, Daisy Ridley!). The story centers around women in their 40s and the friendships they develop are what every woman should want from people who they consider to be a friend. Best book I’ve listened to in quite some time. Very enjoyable.
