Publisher's summary

"The price of becoming a new creature is the death of the old..."

A desperate wizard. An old enemy. A hidden monster.

In a fit of genius (and cowardice) Simon has left his friends frozen in time, awaiting their deaths. Meanwhile, he explores the ancient magical city of Tarinea in hopes that he might find a way to save them. If he's lucky, he might find another bloodstone while he's at it. But Tarinea isn't quite what the travel brochures said it would be. It's a place of dark magic, ancient mysteries, old enemies, brutal competitions, of monsters and mayhem, of silent sorcerers, and foul intentions. To get through, he will have to trust a strange new friend, survive a mysterious teacher, and face the dangers of the Titan's Groan...

Author Austin J. Bailey has entertained over a quarter of a million readers with his bestselling children's books, and his latest work is better than ever. Featuring an endearingly overconfident and hilarious boy genius, Simon Fayter and the Tomb of Rone is the third book in the series.

Funny, witty, a little dark

I know I wrote “hilarious” for book 2 and it’s still holds true for book 3! Hilarious!!! There’s this footnote that is explaining homonyms and synonyms and some other “nyms” I never learned in school- I was on a walk and had to stop I was laughing so hard. English teachers - assign this book!!! It’s educational and hilarious (oops, said it again). Word of warning - this one has a darker side. And sadly books 4 and 5 are not narrated yet. So I’m going to read them and then listen when the author gets on the stick and gets them done!! Hurry up!!!

Fun, peculiar and surprising ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

True to his character, Simon gets into mind bending predicaments. All the twists and turns keeps the story interesting but doesn’t lose you along the way (unlike someone’s legs). Tauthor reading makes it even better!
