Publisher's summary

The thrilling conclusion to The Gam3 prequel trilogy!

After failing to take down the United World Government, Alan is a wanted fugitive on Earth. With nowhere else to go, he leads the Black Rose guild into the Abyss Labyrinth. But hidden agendas thrive within the mercenary guild, and Alan soon discovers larger forces at play.

The Game is a war for survival, and a solo victory is virtually impossible - Alan needs to pick a side. But what does winning even mean in the Game? Will Alan be just another sacrificial pawn, or can he find a path to success?

Note from the author: The Gam3 will be on an indefinite hiatus while a new story is in the works; but more stories with Alan are definitely in the future!

Such a great series!

What a way to finish off book 3! If the series ends here I'd be fine with that, but there is still so much more story to be told. Honestly I'm happy either way, As long as Cosimo Yap continues to write new stories.

Wish the description wasn't a spoiler, Great books

Yeah really wish I didn't glance at the description of this book before I finished the second. Anyway, the trilogy is amazing but does feel a bit rushed. Like this book needs to be a good 2 hours longer to get some more exposition and whatnot. People are saying that the author basically abandoned this series after this but I hope that isn't true. The story would be easily continuable should he ever decide to do so. Its really easy to love the MC and then hate him in the next moment. A little sad that this book kinda hints at romance but then abandons it completely. I think I would have added so much depth to the story to have the MC battle with himself over gaining more power or focusing on his relationship along with arguing with his AI. Overall of course Nick Podehl does an amazing job on the Narration, which is so obvious nowadays that it doesn't even need to be said IMO. Got these three books on sale but they are worth regular price/credits.

8.5/10 Very enjoyable and worth the price especially on sale!

Ending?

It is always nice to have a completed series. This series felt like you were playing Skyrim and all you did was play the main quest line. There was a lot more that could be explored and the ending felt a bit rushed. It was enjoyable though. The twist at the end didn’t fully land with me. I have read other books with the same twist that felt more successful in its execution. The narration was excellent.

No you can't end it there!

Well its another one of those books that sinks in their hooks. pulling you into the character, make you enjoy and love this character. Just... to slap you so hard with a plot twist that makes you scream out, "NOOOOOOOO, you can't end it there. NOOOO..... but I want to know more." (as a single tear runs down my face) Again this was another amazing book By Nick Podehl, I just hopes he doesn't keep waiting too long for the sequel

Great until the end, which killed the series

Spoiler: Great until the Author reset Alan to a beginner player in the last chapter. I'm not going to read future books if everything so far was wiped. Very lazy way to write when out of ideas.

Spoiler

Some folks say wow but I say lame. I guess it needed some kind of ending. I hate the everything is a dream or not real point of view. It's just how I feel about it. Kinda takes away the character and the reality that was created and makes it into a puff of smoke. Well I'm done. I'm off to the next adventure that hopefully is real for a little while to me. Bye

Keep um coming.

Absolutely love the Litrpg book style with the futuristic tech of sci fi. Book 3 is full of twist and turns making it near impossible to predict without hypercognition activated. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
