Publisher's summary

When the dead come running, which way do you turn?

Blood flows in the streets as the undead tear limbs and flesh from the living in the city of Hull. A viral rage is unleashed, hitting the UK faster than it can be contained. On the brink of losing everything, Marcus runs through the housing estates, now occupied by the rising dead. He searches for his family whilst learning how to fight the flesh-hungry beasts, collecting lost souls along the way.

Christina, a single nurse, hopes her unborn child stays inside her until this madness can be dealt with. Forming new alliances can bring surprises in many forms, proving the world can be shocking for even the most hardened of people. A zombie apocalypse isn’t the only thing that can take you by surprise.

The cruel times now thrust upon those still living separate the good from the bad. Some can be trusted with your life and others cannot. But in a world where the dead have risen, can anyone survive this unchanged?

there's many different kinds of love

I must say the story is as good as the first volume (real people, running from zombies, trying to do what is right), I just had a problem with the person reading this volume, (I got a free audible code from the author) as he tried to do other voices it didn’t work as well, I understand why we had a male voice for this volume, since it was Marcus the MC, he had a nice accent but to work in as many characters it was a bit too much sand for his lorry.

I really thank the opportunity of listening to this audio book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Excellent follow-up to the first book in the series

This second book in the Run from the Dead series is just as action-packed as the first and does an excellent job introducing some new characters and building each of their backstories. Honestly, I enjoyed this book much more than the first simply because I got much more invested in these characters and the hardships/challenges they faced in trying to achieve their goal of getting to safety and trying to reconnect with Marcus’s family if they are still alive. My review is based on listening to Simon Wright’s excellent narration of the audiobook version of this book. I received a review copy from the author and chose to provide this review.

Great Zombie Apocalypse Story

I found book 2 to be as good as book 1. This story focused on Marcus, who is looking for his family, and Christine, a woman who is pregnant. The story had everything that makes a horror story enjoyable. There were terrifying moments, pulse-beating excitement, and intense characters. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Simon Wright's narration was fine. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
