Publisher's summary

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Michael Connelly: Lincoln Lawyer Mickey Haller enlists the help of his half-brother, Harry Bosch, to prove the innocence of a woman convicted of killing her husband.

Defense attorney Mickey Haller is back, taking the long shot cases, where the chances of winning are one in a million. After getting a wrongfully convicted man out of prison, he is inundated with pleas from incarcerated people claiming innocence. He enlists his half brother, retired LAPD Detective Harry Bosch, to weed through the letters, knowing most claims will be false.

Bosch pulls a needle from the haystack: a woman in prison for killing her husband, a sheriff’s deputy, but who still maintains her innocence. Bosch reviews the case and sees elements that don’t add up, and a sheriff’s department intent on bringing quick justice in the killing of one of its own.

Now Haller has an uphill battle in court, a David fighting Goliaths to vindicate his client. The path for both lawyer and investigator is fraught with danger from those who don’t want the case reopened and will stop at nothing to keep the Haller-Bosch dream team from finding the truth. Packed with intrigue and courtroom drama, Resurrection Walk shows once again that Michael Connelly is “the most consistently superior living crime fiction author” (South Florida Sun Sentinel).

Critic reviews

"Peter Giles masterfully portrays the Lincoln Lawyer, Mickey Haller, a defense attorney whose office is his car. Giles is joined by Titus Welliver, as LAPD Detective Harry Bosch, and Christine Lakin, as Renée Ballard.... Drama is skillfully played out through the investigation and tense courtroom scenes. Listeners once again experience Bosch's struggles working for the defense and gain insight into Haller's enlightenment. Michael Connelly's enthralling crime/legal thriller presented by three exceptional narrators provides a totally compelling listening experience." (AudioFile)

This was a really exciting read! Don’t miss it!!!

This story seems to bring Bosch closer to Haller and the mission he is now moving closer to. It is a page turner and hard to stop reading once you start. Well done!!

So frustrating

I waited for this book for so long.
Then it comes out and I go through it so fast.
Once again, great writing and solid narration. I am so attached to all the characters and invested in their welfare. Thank you, once again for a really great read. I have followed this series by book in hand, on CD and audiobooks, all great. I usually read or listen more than once. I hope the Bosch and Haller books continue as long as I do. I look forward to the next installment of this great author.

Outstanding

I have the Bosch/Haller/Ballard series from the early days to this latest book. This is one of the best. Connelly nailed it.

Continues to Be My Favorite

I enjoy continued adventures of these characters. Knowing the author knows whereof he speaks makes it seem real. Nothing is simple.

Great story and great narration

Michael Connelly never disappoints. Consistently great stories, dialogue, and characters is not easy and too many authors. Get lazy as their careers progress. Not so with Michael Connelly.

Home run

This was another well written and exciting book about Harry and the Lincoln lawyer. My favorites are those including both characters. Keep writing.

Another slim-dunk!

Every time I read a new Michael Connelly book, I swear it is my new favorite, and this one is no different. I could scarcely stop listening to sleep and work! Plenty of excitement and surprises, and as usual, a big dose of the courtroom. A great pleasure.
