To Jason's horror, he also learns that the Teloi aliens who were the grim reality behind the pagan pantheons of antiquity - aliens Jason believed he'd successfully destroyed - are still active, and aiding the Transhumanists in founding an unspeakable cult. What's more, these are a different - and far more dangerous-breed of Teloi than before.

R-rated descriptions of torture not for children
I'm as much a fan of historical accuracy as any casual reader period but I do not think it is valuable or useful for a casual sci-fi reader to be given an in-depth description of torture scenes where people are brutally murdered and dismembered period So I'm giving this a lower rating even if I enjoy the books about the same as the other ones.
