A first hand account of true crime cases
Retired detective lieutenant Clif Edwards of the Michigan State police reflects on investigations he participated in following his promotion to detective sergeant. This is the follow up to Heart Shots, in the Paths Crossed series, which recounts a wild ten hour chase that started in Michigan, and ended in Indiana in 1957. In "A Closer Look," Edwards shares his experiences leading task forces that solved several perplexing cases.
Cases include:
- A cold case of double homicide and arson in 1981
- A slew of burglaries involving Wendy's restaurants
- The bicycle rapist, who prayed upon minors
- Robberies involving car stereo/radio equipment
- The murder of a bar owner
- A bizarre case of a missing woman that involved hypnosis and a psychic
Edwards details twelve intriguing police investigations, and shares his thoughts on plea bargaining.
I strong recommend "Heart Shots" and "A Closer Look," both are riveting and the narration is top notch!
