One of the best audio books
Quite possibly the best audiobook I’ve ever listened to. The production was incredible with each narrator bringing their character to life. I absolutely loved the detail brought to the different scenes of the book, from a Netflix documentary to podcast, it had me absolutely riveted. Cannot recommend this version enough!

On the edge of greatness
I liked the book very much and finished it over a weekend. The only reason I didn’t make it a full 5 star was because the end didn’t give me a full ending. Unless there’s a sequel (that doesn’t seem apparent) I was left wondering about the full truth.

what is and isn't true
Good story with well developed characters. You know there's something shady / wrong with Josie and believe Alex to be near perfect. But...as the layers are peeled back there's much more to their stories and who is telling their truth vs the truth.

This was so good
All I can say is this was a really good mystery/thriller/suspense novel and the narration was absolutely fabulous! I didn’t have the time to binge read but I binged… just couldn’t put it down. The sound effects and all the narration was soooooooo good!

Jewell DELIVERS
Wow! Not sure what's better, the writing or the performance! Nicola Walker was a major score here as a narrator. Jewell's unique talent for embedding so much texture into her character development really shines. Cannot recommend highky enough - listen to this one, rather than read it.

Lisa Jewell is just the best!
I will read every book Lisa produces from here on out. She has an amazing talent for suspense, and her character development is unmatched. This story was intriguing and truly kept me hooked throughout. I do wish there had been more of a “complete” resolution at the end, without the loose ends. I also felt like it was missing that “big” shocking twist or revelation that is so central to most suspense novels. Still, Lisa Jewell is in a class of her own and has become one of my favorite authors!
