A trail of dead bodies throws Texas Ranger Faith McClellan into a race to catch a serial killer obsessed with stealing organs....

The Rangers are running an active shooter simulation in an empty mall when they find a young woman’s body, wrapped in plastic in a mechanical closet. When the medical examiner discovers that this woman is missing several organs, it is Faith’s first clue that this is not your average murder.

Soon, Faith discovers a trail of bodies matching the killer’s M.O., all stored in remote indoor locations, all with organs removed, each one closer to the last. With the missing organs affecting the decomposition timeline, it’s almost impossible to pinpoint the time of each murder, and the investigation takes on a life of its own.

Faith will risk everything to put a stop to the murders—but the killer is smarter than she thinks, and they won’t hesitate to cut down anyone who interferes with their lethal plan….

Great

I have really enjoyed this series. I love strong women characters and this series doesn’t disappoint. Each book has gotten better and better and this is book has kept up the trend. I have loved how the characters have unfolded throughout the series and the depth of their development has been amazing. I cannot wait until the next book. And I am going to preorder it now. I hope there are many more books in this series. Thank you.

Very Very Good!!!!

No Love Lost is the fifth book in the Faith McClellan series. This is a series of procedurals. The publisher’s summary is very helpful so I won’t give any more information about the actual story or I may ruin it for someone.
Although sometimes told from a very light hearted point of view the subject matter remains serious. The protagonist was a beauty queen in her youth (which also explains the periodic effervescent attitude) and at times reminds the listener. Because of this she is occasionally able to use her looks to get her way.
This is a good story. It kept me interested and the subject matter is relevant.
Cris Dukehart does a fantastic job narrating.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Another great book in the series! I enjoy all the characters. The narrator is one of my favorites.

Whew! Hold on to your sofa!

This fast paced story will keep you wrapped in this case just days before Faith’s wedding! Women prostitutes are turning up dead with missing body parts. When the chief medical examiner, and Faith’s friend, Jim, is attacked at the morgue and a body stolen, things get personal. Faith, Graham and team hunt down potential organ harvesters. Quite engaging.

I just didn't like this one

I didn't care about the story unfortunately. And I forgot how little I enjoy the way this narrator reads.

Entertaining

The characters work. The story works. It’s not great but I enjoyed it. I like that the female cop is also strong emotionally. If she was wrong sometimes and had to deal with that it would be more interesting. She’s too much just so perfect.
