Scandalous

Pretty interesting storyline; totally held my attention. If this is mafia life, I want no part of it! Narrators did a good job; although, Nico’s affect was a bit flat, Jason, Aaron, Sebastian, or Shane would probably have done a better job with Nico’s character.

The narration duo of PJ Morgan and Xander Marceaux was simply amazing. The duo led me on an emotional journey. I could feel Bianca's anguish and fear. Nico's anger and determination came through strong. And the ability to change characters was effortless. Highly recommend this audible experience.

This is the second book in the Belles & Mobsters series. Bianca is no stranger to the horror stories of the mafia life. Her family has tried to stay as far as possible from them. But it’s not that easy being the bastard daughter of one of the most evil men. Nico has one goal and it is to seek revenge in Benito King for his sister’s death. This is an arrangement/ fake marriage romance. PJ Morgan and Xander Marceaux did a fabulous job narrating this book in duet style narration.

The love/hate banter between Nico and Bianca was perfect. Bianca gave this mob boss a run for his money, and made his heart melt.

This audiobook was narrated by PJ Morgan and Xander Marceaux, and this duo is perfection.

Some some spoilers ahead. I absolutely loved Nico and Bianca story. From the beginning to end the author keeps you enthralled at every turn. Nico is such an alpha male, possessive and obsessed with Bianca, the twins stole my hear such a divas/ princesses. Both narrators were so good in their performance. Highly recommend it!

man I have to admit this was another good book,the relationship might have started off as lies, but in the end the both did fall in love with eachother. plus I like the way he also took in the girls like his own . everytime I hear a story like that it just warms my little heart. hey but I have to give it B she is one bad lady, she has some big balls to do what she did there for her mother. these women in this series are strong and Braves. it take guts to do what some of them have done. well let's get started on the next book. the narrators did an amazing job too.

Nico

Nico is the second book in the Bells and Mobsters series. This book is told from Nico and Bianca's points of view.

Nico blackmails Bianca to marry him. Bianca has done something, and Nico is taking her for the payment. However, Bianca has plans to leave Nico as soon as she can.

While she gets to know Nico, other things come to order. Will Nico be able to protect her when push comes to pull? Will Bianca realize she is safer if she stays with Nico? Will their bond grow the more they get to know each other?

I really enjoyed this book, and getting to know these characters. Even though Nico isn't a nice guy, he treats Bianca's twins with care. I loved seeing their relationships grow as well.

I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.

Enjoyable

This was another great audiobook written by Eva Winners. Although, Luciano is still my fave I found Nico deliciously yummy. Nico and Bianca had major chemistry on the pages and the narrators did a great job bringing them to life. Overall, I enjoyed Xander's narrating more so than PJ's. But regardless this story and narrating was fire.

Both PJ Morgan & Xander Marceaux were new-to-me narrators with this story and I absolutely loved their narration! They had the perfect cadence to their voices for these two characters and they kept me engaged until the end! Well done! I’ll be looking for more narrations from these two in the future!

STORY REVIEW & RATING: 4.5 Stars

Nico is the second book of the Belles and Mobsters Series. The story was fast paced, easy to read with twists, betrayal, angst, revenge, and violence. There are possible triggers. The story focuses on Nico Morelli and Bianca Carter. This isn’t a standalone in my opinion. Yes, if you just want to read a journey of two people to HEA, then yes, it’s a standalone, but there’s a series arc storyline that will eventually (if you continue with the series) make you twitchy if you don’t get all the deets from the beginning. Okay, I’m kinda neurotic about these pesky details, so maybe I’m the only one to get twitchy lol but why take the chance. Eva is an exceptional writer, so start at the beginning! But I digress …

Bianca started out as an intimidated, anti-social, struggling widow. But she quickly evolved into a sassy, brave, strong woman who faced her victimizers head on. Nico was a powerful, intimidating, criminal mafia boss, who always gets what he wants. He's been driven by revenge for the last several years.

Nico and Bianca's relationship was unconventional. There were a lot of secrets, and their relationship was based on lies and manipulation. They could have saved each other a lot of heartache if they would've communicated better, but that would not have fit their personalities. Through all their arguing, lies, and at times hatred, they still had an explosive attraction that could not be ignored. With all the drama, trauma, grief, and revelations these two have gone through, they deserved their happily ever after.

This story had a lot of heart! ❤️

Whenever reading books that are part of a series, I always worry that the books following the first book will not be as good, this one did not disappoint.
