Trying to manage work and put as much time into her sister's wedding, Jamie finds herself trying to please everyone. Her sister's wedding is at the foreground of the family's attention. Jamie would be fine if her sister wasn't so bossy, if her mother would stop nagging, and her awful ex-boyfriend wasn't about to become her brother-in-law.

Jamie has to learn to love herself again, speak up for herself, and have the confidence to go after what she wants. She also needs to prove to Alex that she's perfect for her job and for his bed.

Book 3: Who's the Boss Now

How close can you get to the fire and not get burned?

Landing the dream job, working and dating her incredibly hot boss, and at the same time gaining the confidence she's never had, Jamie doesn't think life could get any better.

She's helping to manage a multibillion-dollar company. Her family issues seem to be resolved, and even though she and Alex have to figure out the wrinkles, it looks like they'll be able to be professional at work and romantic after.

Except perfect isn't quite exactly how Jamie imagined it would be.

Quick read, romantic and steamy

While this was an enjoyable read it could’ve been condensed into one book. The narrator was good the stories were somewhat predictable. The author did explore the H and h’s history’s which was pivotal to understanding why they were the way they were.

Nice Story BUT!!!

I like the story itself but the narrator leave a little to be desired. This is a story that should have been narrated by a man not a woman and this narrator does a mans voice badly and doesn't have much in the differentially of voices. I'm glad I bought the box set as several of the stories just stop and go the next book. I will continue with the series but after 5 books I'm getting really bored with the 2 different narrators to don't have much variation in character voices and book 4 & 5 have a lot of repeat sentences. That is quite distracting.

Who's really the boss?

In these days of social distancing and isolation, this audiobook series was a great way to pass time while doing mundane tasks. Yes, it is predictable that the main characters will end up together, but that's what makes it a romance novel! I liked Jamie's progression from door mat to asserting herself. Alex also changes his personality gradually over the course of the series. Their story could end after the first book, but I like how the series continues... it's almost like watching a multi-episode TV show in book form.

Good

A lot of potential , the weight lost seemed to over run the one story.
Another the heroine and lack of courage. They were short, giving them a more polished style would be good. The narration was good. Given audio for my review

story could have ended after book 2.

the whole of book 3 happened after the HEA and it was pointless. fake drama and petty jealousy messed with the perfectly good ending of book 2.

Very Cookie Cutter

The story was ok, like most romance novels .. they lady that is reading this is just reading it. no personality

Good book, mostly monotone narrator.

The narrator doesn't even seem to try making each character have an individual voice. The only reason her score isn't lower is because her voice isn't granting or annoying on its own.

good book but I found myself getting frustrated with Jamie. how she let everyone run over her and she would just take it with a smile.

Worth the listen

WOW, this was a mix of tropes with a Curvy girl, Billionaire, Office Romance, some Bully and Contemporary and lots of emotions... I went from being angry, to heart warming to OHHHH so angry again. I definitely related and loved the back story of a bigger curvy woman growing a backbone and loving herself as the books go on. Definitely worth the read/listen.

An ok listen

This was an ok listen. I neither hated nor loved the narrator. She did an ok job with the narration. What I didn’t like was the tinny echo that I could hear in the background.
The storyline was eh. Read it before. The drama was flat and, again, something I’ve seen before. The ending was a let down.
Overall I would give this 2.5 stars.
