Re-read, just as good

Really wasn’t sure what to expect— really, I was expecting that it couldn’t be as captivating, entertaining, and worthwhile as it was the first time I read it so long ago. It was everything I had hoped it would be, and more!

A haunting favorite from childhood, well read.

A haunting favorite from childhood, well read. One of Duncan's best. The narrator is exceptional.

Lois Duncan is amazing

I love this book more and more every time I read it; I only wish there was a second book from Josie's point of view starting at the end of this one.

Takes me back to my teen years

I read the actual book numerous times when I was a teenager and finding it again as an audio book is amazing. One of my favorite stories is available for me to listen to now that I’m blind.
While this might not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s an amazing story. Nothing graphic, no foul language, no sexual content. It makes you use your minds eye to visualize each scene/character.

Th entire book. ive loved this story since my junior high school English teacher read it to the class back in 1989

The only thing i dislike was the voice trying to use a Southern New Orleans accent.

The performer was difficult to listen too

I purchased this book because I have a fondness of Lois Duncan and already own her books in paper. The story is wonderful and if you like a paranormal style suspense, don't hesitate to read this book. That being said, I had a lot of trouble listening to this book in audible because the performers voice was very shaky and the different voices were difficult to discern. I was very disappointed.
