A partir de entonces ha cosechado numerosos éxitos en los premios de narrativa más importantes de España. Posee, entre otros, el X Premio de Novela Juan Pablo Forner con su obra El alma de la mariposa (DVD Ediciones, 2007), el XIV Premio de Narrativa Fray Luis de León (Junta de Castilla y León, 2016) y el XL Premio de Novela Camilo José Cela con La proporción Áurea (Premium Editorial, 2017).
Ha sido además Finalista de prestigiosos certámenes como el Premio de Novela Ateneo de Sevilla (2007), el Premio Azorín de Novela (2009 y 2013), el Ateneo de Valladolid (2012 y 2016) y el Premio de Novela Felipe Trigo (2016). Parte de su obra ha sido traducida al inglés y publicada en EEUU y otros países de habla inglesa.
