Publisher's summary

A plane crash. A homophobe and a gay man stranded together on a desert island. A love born out of hatred, need, and mutual desperation.

Andrew Reyes is handsome, rich, and very straight—he’s married to a gorgeous woman. Outspoken about his distaste for gay people, he isn’t shy about his opinion as he watches the gay couple he and his wife share a flight with.

Logan McCall is handsome, rich, and openly gay. He isn’t impressed with the bigoted jerk across the aisle, no matter how easy on the eyes he is.

To their shock and horror, they’re the only survivors when the plane crashes—stranded on a desert island with no hope of rescue, and no one but each other to depend on for survival.

As the days turn into months, can disdain, antipathy, and a craving they don’t understand and can’t resist turn into a connection? Or something more?

Yes, yes, yes!

While I was (pleasantly) surprised this book was the next one released on Audible, it totally exceeded my expectations! The narrator totally nailed it and was so much better than the one who did the first two in the Straight Guys series. I’m not going to complain if the books that come after these are released before her earlier works. I need me some Nate and Raffaele! Bravo!

so enjoyable.

This whole series is an awesome read. No one does confusion like this author. The storyline is interesting. The narrator brings the characters alive. it brightens up domestics wonderfully. I wish the whole series was on audible.

Perfect Narration

I jumped on this audio as soon as I saw the release. I have read all the books in this series, as well as listened to the two previous audio books. The narrator for this book was perfect and exactly how I imagined Andrews voice would sound like. He portrayed all the emotions very well without over exagerrating. The only thing I wish is that there was dual narration.

Very entertaining

I enjoy listening to the very talented ( and new to me ) Nathaniel Grey preform Wrecked.
His voices for Logan and Andrew the MC were spot on.
His narration sounded upbeat, engaging and real.

Have read , love and own the entire Straight Guy Series by Alessandra Hazard in digital format. Now , looking forward having them all in audiobooks.

Wrecked is an entertaining story . The perfect to escape. It's light , a bit angsty, very steamy and romantic story .

Story was great but narration not!

I read Just a bit Wrecked a year ago and loved it. Ms. Hazard wove in favorite characters, Derek and Shawn from Straight Guys Book1 ❤️ I really enjoyed the story with codependency and finding love in unexpected places. What I didn't love was Mr Gray's narration. His narrator voice sounded like Hermie the Elf from Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer TV special that repeats every holiday season. I couldn't get beyond that connection. Please bring back Joshua Macrae. 🙏

Really good story, fair performance

I haven't listened to or read any books in this series until "Just a Bit Wrecked" I can tell it had characters from previous books but this was still good as a stand-alone. I love the idea of being stuck on an island with the less ideal person and because of necessity for survival you look past each others prejudices even to the point of falling deeply, irrevocably in love. This title definitely hit that spot for me...it even felt authentic to me until the appearance of Andrew's "recovery" near the end...but I know for finishing the book and having a HEA it needed to happen faster than it normally would have. Andrews hang ups began longer than when he endured the plane crash, loss of his life and even the loss of himself trying to find a way to survive being stranded with Logan and realizing his sexuality wasn't what he thought it was. The performance was....so-so. I have other favorite male performers that would have been excellent... but that being said, Nathaniel Gray did get better the longer he narrated and his performance never took away from the story, it just didn't really add anything to it either.

4 stars - worthy of a repeat listen

Liked It More Than I Thought I Would

I wasn't sure if I'd like this story or be able to get into it. I liked the first book but never listened to the second, I don't do MF anymore and I only do audio so I haven't read any of the others. The blurb interested me so I gave it a try and I really liked it!
The story is short so moves along pretty quickly. It's pretty easy to follow, although there are a lot of side characters. I'm guessing they are in the other books so if anyone has gotten into those it may be easier to keep up with them. Overall I enjoyed the story and thought the spicy scenes were perfect.
The narrator did a good job even without much distinction between the voices of MCs. At first I had to work at figuring out who was who but it didn't take long. I'd listen to him narrate a book again and some narrators I just can't listen to at all but he did good.
This ended up being a sweet little story and I did like the ending but I think there was quite a lot of side characters and I had a hard time following them but otherwise I recommend this one!

Wonder

Always the best story line love all your characters even the ones I hate. It was hard to love Andrew but at the end I understood why he was the way he was.
