Almost had an anxiety attack

Someone has raped you beat you and left you for dead. Another has found you, taken you to their home with healers, fed you . Clothed you, got you strong again, and put your life ahead of their own, he loves you, you love him. But you want to go back to the rapist and you won’t tell the good guy why. Then he almost gets killed trying to save you, gets you away from the rapist again, learns that secret, takes care of it, makes you a home, ask you to marry him. YOU SAY NO!!!! Jake is awesome.

Jake finds Aline beaten and bruised, thrown away to die. He brings her to his mother, Maddie, who had also lived through the mistreatment Aline is going through.
Jake can't stay away from Aline, falling for her and wanting to marry her.
Their story is twisted and it doesn't seem like they will ever get to be happy. Book 4 of the Grant clan series.
Paul Woodson has the yummiest voice and brings the characters to life. wonderful narrator.

Jake's story

Exciting, poignant, and fast paced! As Laird Alexander's eldest of his twin sons, Jake knew he had many responsibilities to his clan whenever the th time came for him to take over. Knowing his father's skill and reputation were well known throughout Scotland, he really wasn't sure he ever wanted to become the clan Chief. When this heart was captured by a beautiful lass he couldn't get out of his head, he realized there was still much to be learned from his his beloved father. This is another of Keira Montclair's romantic, page turning, Scottish love stories. I would easily recommend both of these series, and with the introduction of several new characters, will hopefully lead to yet another continuation of the sagas. Paul Woodson was great narrator, bringing life to the characters. If you haven't read or listened to this book, or the others in the series, I'd say you are really missing out. The sexual scenes as well as the violence, were not overly explicit or graphic, so younger readers could read these. You probably need to read/listen to them first to better determine appropriateness for your teens.

This one was heartfelt and I enjoyed it very much. Paul Woodson is an excellent narrator.

Jake grew up welll.

Jake learned mi5ch from his dad. Great story, I recommend this series highly, you will be hooked!!!!
