Publisher's summary
Interacting with people at work can be one of life’s greatest joys—and greatest frustrations. Some coworkers never trust us to do our jobs, or never respond to requests for information, or waste our time with dozens of unnecessary emails. The cost: our work results and personal sanity.
How can you approach workplace interactions with more empathy and less resentment? How can you become more successful when working with “annoying” or “difficult” coworkers? In How to Work with Anyone, you’ll dive into what psychology, communication, and business can teach you about developing effective, gratifying relationships at work.
Raluca Graebner, an executive coach and expert in interpersonal dynamics, uses real-life examples from clients, colleagues, and herself to help you navigate interpersonal differences and access empathy and compassion. You’ll learn why mindset is the key to any workplace collaboration, how to cultivate trust-filled relationships with coworkers, and how to assert your needs and protect your boundaries. In addition, you’ll build a toolkit to influence effectively and to navigate conflict, as well as to stay centered when triggered by a colleague.
Working with other people starts—and ends—with you. And in that full circle sits this insightful, enriching Audible Original.

Since you were old enough to hold a job, you've been hoodwinked to believe that wealth can be created by blindly trusting in the uncontrollable and unpredictable markets: the housing market, the stock market, and the job market. I call this soul-sucking, dream-stealing dogma "The Slowlane" - an impotent financial gamble that dubiously promises wealth in a wheelchair. For those who don't want a lifetime subscription to "settle-for-less", there is an alternative.

Story
Accomplishing the Impossible draws contemporary leadership lessons from the events and people that were central to the beginning of the American Revolution. Retired general, scholar, and educator William E. Rapp cuts through the popular mythology around the Boston Campaign and applies the historical lessons to challenges faced by today's business and public sector leaders. By doing so, he inspires today's leaders to view contemporary leadership and change management through a fresh lens.

Story
Ten office workers in Boston started out sitting in a circle and sharing the problems they encountered on the job. In a few short years, they had built a nationwide movement that united people of diverse races, classes, and ages. They took on the corporate titans. They leafleted and filed lawsuits and started a woman-led union. They won millions of dollars in back pay and helped make sexual harassment and pregnancy discrimination illegal. The women office workers who rose up to win rights and respect on the job transformed workplaces throughout America.

Story
Procrastination is an almost universal human experience. While many people attribute procrastination to laziness or a lack of drive, our real motivations to push back and delay important activities and decisions are more complicated than personal weakness. The truth is that humans are well-adapted for basic survival, but they are not so great at managing the stresses and expectations of modern life without a little help.

Excellent use of vocabulary
I love learning how to relate to people better. This writer uses examples and references to support the message. I suggest taking notes as the book challenges the reader to reflect on your own life and how these tips can be applied to your own personal circumstances. It is a very interactive study. I would recommend to others.
